About Me
I'm Amanda — a Jesus lover, wife, mama, creator, nature seeker, and a woman who finds beauty in the art of noticing and simple everyday things.
I was born, raised, and still reside nestled in the heart of the Appalachian mountains in Southwest Virginia. My roots run deep here. These mountains, creeks, and forests have shaped me, calm my soul, and spark creativity in me.
Jesus holds my heart and guides my steps. My husband is my best friend, and my children are my world.

what holds me together
Faith is the thread running through everything. Grace found me here, and I'm still learning to slow down enough to notice it.

family & home
This is my family
We are a lively mix of busy schedules, furry best friends, music playing in the background, half-finished projects, and something good cooking in the kitchen. Life can be a little messy and a lot full, but that's the way we like it. More than anything, we love each other, make memories, laugh, grow, and figure things out together. We believe relationships take intention, so we work at ours every day — choosing each other, giving grace, and always trying to be a little better for one another. Because at the end of the day, home isn't a place. Home is us.

photography & the art of noticing
Through my lens
A camera taught me to slow down. The fuzz on a fern, steam rising off a mug, the way light falls through the trees at the end of the day — photography is how I practice gratitude. Every so often one of those frames turns into a piece of art, or a memory I get to keep forever.
See my workIn the spring we're in the woods hunting morels; in the summer, berries and wildflowers; in the fall, the kitchen is busy. I love cooking the foods my people have made for generations — simple, honest food that gathers everyone around the table.
"Thanks for stopping by my little corner of Appalachia. Pull up a chair and stay awhile."
